How to Prepare Stock Photo Titles and Keywords

•2 min read•By FrameTag team

Updated

FrameTag brings batch preparation, metadata editing and downloads into one focused workspace. Use it to prepare your photos, then review the results before submitting them to a stock marketplace.

1. Select your photos

Open your workspace, sign in, and choose JPEG or PNG images. You can select up to 100 images per batch, with a maximum of 50 MB per image and 500 MB per batch. Your available credits may limit the number you can analyze at once.

Choose the maximum title length and number of keywords in Analysis settings. Add required keywords if you need a particular subject, location or concept included. Required keywords count toward the total, and you can place them at the start or end of the list.

2. Refine the metadata

Each image has its own title, keyword list and analysis status. Review the title for accuracy and remove words that do not describe the image. Avoid adding locations, identities or other details you cannot verify.

Select a keyword and use Earlier or Later to change its position. Use Remove to discard it, or add relevant words in the keyword field. Keep the most useful terms near the beginning and avoid filling the list with weak or repetitive words.

One credit is used for each successful analysis. Failed analyses are refunded, and you can retry the affected image without repeating the rest of the batch. View credit pricing.

3. Download your finished files

Download individual JPEGs or PNGs, or download multiple ready images together as a ZIP. Downloads keep the original format and resolution, with the edited title and keywords embedded in the files.

Check the title and keyword fields after importing into your chosen marketplace. Platforms can interpret metadata differently, and their submission requirements can change. Preparing metadata does not guarantee acceptance or search placement.

Keep your finished work

Photos and edits are temporary. Download your finished files before closing, refreshing or leaving the results page. You will be warned before leaving; leaving clears the photo session.
